Rollease Window Blinds Are User Friendly

Rollease Window Blinds are to the blind industry what computers are to information storage. They make it sooo easy, sooo accessible and sooo convenient.

For years makers of blinds had to settle for a rope cord lock that allowed the blind to go up or down, and maybe-if you were lucky, keep the blind half way level.

The only other option was a cord cleat, like those used on boats, that you could wrap the cord around and keep the blind fairly straight. It worked, but it was a pain to use especially if you were in a hurry.

We would make great looking Roman shades, and then we would lace them up with thick cord and run them through a series of eye hooks screwed into the top board of the shade. Next we would try to keep the cords even while wrapping them around the cord cleat anchored to the side of the wall.

This method was cumbersome to say the least, and the mass of cord and the cleat on the side of the wall was just plain ugly.

In the early Eighties Rollease came on the scene with a lift mechanism that was entirely different. One that took the blind business by storm, and changed forever the way blinds and shades are fabricated, raised, lowered and tilted.

These innovative manual clutch systems were designed for roller shades, woven woods, mini blinds, 2" horizontal blinds, pleated shades, cellular shades, as well as Roman and balloon shades.

rollease lift system

It has been said that the Rollease window blinds mechanism was the best thing to happen to wood blinds...Since wood.

The advantages of the Rollease window blinds are:

  • Makes heavy blinds liftable
  • Let go of the control cord, the blind stays put
  • Quiet operation
  • One cord loop or bead chain controls both lift and tilt functions
  • Trouble-free performance backed by a 10-year warranty

Today some of these advantages you take for granted because these have been around for 20 years or better. Believe me, back then these were earth shaking and industry shattering.

Rollease doesn't sell to the public. They sell their lift systems to blind fabricators who use them to control the finished product. They call the system by many names, such as continuous loop, and continuous loop clutch to name a couple.

The Rollease window blinds system usually commands a premium sir charge of around $29 or better per blind. That is well worth it if easy of operation is important to you.
