Grand Wood Blinds - Good Looking And Low Cost!
Grand wood blinds are the type of product that brings smiles to weary shoppers. It's not very often that you find a product that is well built, good looking and low cost. Thats reason enough for anyone to smile.
Well Built.
Grandwood blinds are built solid. A number of cheap blinds are made with low gage vinyl slats that sag in the window. Not the grandwood faux blinds. They are made of a thick vinyl polymer that is sandblasted to give it a textured finish and that no sag ability that is so important to the looks of your blind.
About the only thing that ever breaks on these blinds is the tilt control. The tilt control is a good one but anything that is constantly used every day is going to break. This control can be easily exchanged with a new one in a couple of minutes. Home Depot usually has the tilt controls one hand so you can pick one up and have your blind working as good as new in minutes.
If for some reason they don't have one on hand have them order you one.
The ladders and cord are strong and will last and last unless there abused. In that case, the price is right, just buy a new one.
Good Looking.
I guess that beauty is in the eye of the beholder but, personally I think the grand wood faux wood blind is sleek and good looking. Most of the Home Depot's just carry the white color in stock.
As I mentioned above the slats are sandblasted to give it a wood like texture which adds to the looks of the blind. Put a expensive white bass wood blind and this grand wood blind side by side and you won't be able to tell the difference. About the only way you can tell is if you bit into the slats, which I don't recommend.
Low Cost.
It is almost impossible in this day and age to find a product that can be defined as a good value. Well these grand wood blinds fit the bill. How does around $32.00 sound for a 36" wide by 64" long blind. Check that price anywhere and you'll see what I mean about good value.
Speaking of good value here's a link where you can get a $500 Home Depot gift certificate.. You need to fulfill some actions but when you consider you receive that $500 Home Depot gift certificate. it makes it a great bargain.
If you special order any of the other colors the value drops because they run around 30% more for the special order blinds compared to the ones in stack at Home Depot. But even so they are still a good value just not as good as the in stock blinds.
Included with the blind is all the hardware you need to mount the blind. They also come with hold down brackets and a good looking valance to complete the package.
Like any horizontal or vertical slatted blind they are not very good at insulating against the heat and cold. Insulated blinds and shades are a different type blind altogether.
Grand wood blinds, especially those in stock are a good buy and I recommend them.
