Faux Wood Blinds Stretch That Budget

Faux wood blinds allow for wiggle room in a tight budget. Want the look of wood but not the price then take a good look at the selection of faux wood blinds . The choice of color along with the pattern and color of tapes are almost endless.

What you want to be aware of is the fact that it's almost impossible to tell the painted faux's from the real wood blinds. The problem arises with the darker-suppose to be wood- colors. they just don't compare with the real wood.

No one has been able to match the handy work of God with the rich grain lines that make wood so beautiful. The wood color look acceptable from a distance but up close and personal they don't cut it.

Use them for sure anywhere you are going to have high moisture as the vinyl slates are not affected by moisture as are wood slats.

Faux's come in a couple of textures. Smooth for that clean smooth look and sandblasted to imitate the grain and touch of real wood.

Personally I prefer the touch and feel of the sandblasted slats, there is just something about that feel that I think is special.

I have put these faux blinds in just about any setting you can think of with no complaint. You can take the painted colors and put them next to a real wood painted blind of the same color and you will not be able to tell the difference unless you bite them.

The only thing that painted faux blinds don't have is snob appeal. So if you need to brag about having real wood blinds these are not for you.

I will say that I have put these blinds in a 17 million dollar house as well as a $120,000 dollar house and they looked equally as well in both.
