Bali Window Blinds
Bali window blinds are the work horse of the blind industry. Other companies are definitely more flashy and keep in the public eye more than bali. Bali just keeps on,year after year, putting out some of the finest window treatments to be had.
I will be the first to admit that I am prejudice toward Bali window blinds. Back in 1977 when I first started in the window treatment business I soon learned that bali was known for quality product at reasonable prices.
If I wanted to bid on a contract for a lot of blinds I would always use bali blinds. The reasons for using bali
1. Quality of the Products
2. Fair Price
3. Ease of Instalation
4. Choice of Colors
5. Stand Behind Their Product
6. Friendly Staff
Quality of the product
For my money quality of the product is the most important reason. What good is a flashy looking product if you can't use it. It might look good today but what about a couple of years down the road. Thats when the real test takes place.
Bali's quality has always been one of the hallmarks of the company. They just won't put out a product that won't last or can't take it. Take for instance the 1" customiser mini blinds . This is one of the lowest priced product in the window treatment arena yet the quality and workmanship are excellent.
The neat thing is that all bali window blinds products are like that. A number of companies will put a product on the market just to beat a competitors price but when it comes to standing behind the product they are suddenly hard to find.
Fair Price
Fair price is one of those topic that is hard to write about. After all what is a fair price? For me a fair price is a price on a quality product that will allow the company to make a reasonable profit and yet gives good value to the consumer.
Bali has done this through out the years. While Levolor and Hunter Douglass are flashier, with higher priced products, their products are no better than bali's. As a matter of fact, a lot of the time bali's products are of better quality at a lot lower price.
For me this qualifies as fair price.
Ease Of Installation
One of the main sources of income my company had was from installing window treatments for the local decorators. As installer we always breathed a sigh of relief when we saw that the products to be installed were Bali window blinds.
Bali products are drop dead simple to install. Their mounting bracket are easy to use and you don't need a PhD in engineering to understand how to use them. With some of the other companies you do!
This might not seem like a very important point till you go to install something then it's like cutting a piece of cake or cutting a solid piece of steel. Which would you rather do?
Choice of color
Having a good selection of color choices is important when you are trying to get that exact look you want. Just look at all the choice you have in bali's Northern Heights 2" wood Blinds . Just about every color you can think of and then some. Did you notice all the different choices you had for decorative tapes?
That is what color choice is all about! A lot of colors so you can get exactly the tone you wanted.
Stand behind their product
Two or three years down the road and your blind breaks you want to be able to get it fixed with little or no hassle to you. Most of Bali's products come with a limited lifetime guarantee.
In other word with regular use and no unnatural abuse the blinds would be guaranteed. This is not so with other companies. You need to keep your receipt on all blind purchases and a copy of the guarantee if you received one.
In all my years of dealing with the different blind companies and their return or guarantee policy I find Bali to be the most lenient and most agreeable as to making the blind right.
I think they sometimes go out of there way to try and fix a problem.
People are Friendly
This might seem like a trifling point to you but to me it's very important. I like to work with people I can relate to, who cause me to feel like I count and who are easy the get hold of when I need them.
From the telephone representatives to the local sales rep's Bali people are friendly. The type of people you would want to take home for dinner.
This is not always the case with other companies. I have had sales rep's from other companies who wanted you to know that they were doing you a big favor just by walking in your door.
Not so with the Bali window blinds reps, just down to earth friendly people trying to get your business by giving you the best service possible by being reachable.
I suppose if you were to pick a bad point about Bali window blinds it would have to be the fact that their products are often not the latest and the greatest. By this I mean that they don't rush in to make a product just because the design magazines named the product as the exotic of the month.
They wait and see if it will really stay's the course and will be a product that people want way down the road and then add it to their product line. I imagine this helps to keep their cost down and their prices reasonable.
